The Situation : The property is situated on a sun-drenched hillside high above a medieval town east of Alba. The annual harvest is about 10,000 kg, comprising 60% Moscato and 40 % Barbera. Currently the grapes are sold. The vineyard is understood to be in top condition. The soil is also suited to growing red grape varieties such as Dolcetto.
The remaining grounds of 3,000 sq. m include a sunny south-facing courtyard, a vegetable garden, and an orchard with 200 walnut trees plus fig, peach, apricot, cherry, apple, pear and plum trees.
Accommodation
The house: The 350 years old farmhouse is of solid stone construction. It has six rooms including a kitchen, a stable, and a portico which could be included in the living area if desired. Some rooms feature traditional brick-vaulted ceilings and open fireplaces. The upper floor has a bedroom and an open hayloft which is ideal for conversion into a second bedroom and a bathroom.
