Castagnole Monferrato, north of Asti in the Monferrato Casale area, is at the heart of the small Ruche' di Castagnole Monferrato production area - a little known red grape variety. Grignolino, a lighter red variety, is also produced in the region. This wine farm has a large garden, a tennis court, and a stable that offers horse riding for adults and children. It has 6 rooms with private facilities, and is closed during January and February. In March 2007, their website was minimalist in the extreme.
